Summary
Talking about "holy places" at "holy places" may create specific didactic possibilities for according experiences and recognition. This report on a guided tour around a church and a graveyard in a small town in Bulgaria develops general didactic ideas on the basis of concrete experiences. Furthermore, it attempts to interpret religious elements of the topography by means of traditional approaches of the history of art but by those of the history of mentality and historical anthropology - both as a local case study as well as in a comparative cultural view.
