Innovating Professional Education: The Need for Curriculum Reform
Summary
Professional education is under constant pressure to meet the changing requirements of communities and professional bodies. It is widely recommended that professional education should move from development of knowledge towards the use of knowledge, from teaching isolated skills to using skills in professional contexts, and from delivering scientific knowledge towards developing the ability to learn. The present article examines the need for curriculum reform from different perspectives.
