Evaluation in Higher Education
Abstract
This article discusses changes in the society and organisational principles. These changes
increase the importance of evaluation in higher education. Out of these settings it is possible
to formulate the main functions for evaluation in the higher education system. Then an
evaluation model (CIPP-model) is presented. The CIPP-model meets the requirements of
the higher education system very good. On basis of austrian laws and rules concerning
higher education IŽll try to extract distinct goals and questions for evaluations in the fourth
chapter.
