Quality Control Circle - A Tool for Quality Assurance and Improvement
of University Course Standards
Summary
Increasing dissatisfaction of both students and faculty with the present state of University
teaching and education as well as external pressure to reduce costs lead to implementation
of the socalled "Quality management". It is based on the stepwise process of course and
teaching evaluation. The "Quality control circle" as a tool for quality assurance and process
improvement may also be able to improve "Corporate Identity" (teacher/faculty
identification), help to develop teaching standards and thus decrease dissatisfaction.
