Eighteen Years Unit for Staff Development and Research into Higher Education - Concepts, Activities, Perspectives
Summary
In 1970 staff development activities were started at Free University of Berlin. In 1974 the author initiated a pilot study (1974-1979) for the development of a curriculum in this field. In 1981 she started a national network. Since 1978 the "Unit for Staff Development and Research into Higher Education" has been integrated through the author as its head in relevant international projects (eg. by EC and UNESCO). During the last years there has been a growing interest for the Unit's in-service-training, national and international conferences and self-study materials.
