Summary
University staff development in Slovenia is presented in the form of a "case study" of an individual endeavor that has not as yet been supported to any great extent by official Higher Education policy. Nevertheless, it has succeeded to develop a spectrum of "grass root" initiatives (workshops, seminars, action research projects, surveys...). International networking and collegial support has played an important role in this process.
