How the Virtual Campus Will Change Future Education
Summary
In recent years, there has been a parallel
trend in distance education and traditio-nal
universities towards technology-mediated
teaching and learning. Clearly,
this evolution suggests that contemporary
universities will change a lot in the
years ahead. But how? In this paper, we
suggest a number of themes that will
likely characterize higher education in
the coming decade. We also present a
vision of what the student's educational
experience might look like in the future.
