Computer-supported Collaborative Learning: An Introduction
Summary
This paper provides a brief introduction
into research and theories concerned
with computer-supported collaborative
learning. Medical students are increasingly
expected to work in groups and
the British General Medical Council is
promoting the use of technology in the
education of our future doctors. It is
therefore necessary for us to appreciate
the theories which underpin our understanding
of computer-supported collaborative
learning and the ways in which
we can research and evaluate computer-supported
collaborative learning.
