Three Semesters of Questionnaire-based Evaluation of a required Course in
Psychiatry at the University of Vienna
Summary
Questionnaire based evaluation of a course in psychiatry was performed at the
Department of Psychiatry at the Vienna Medical School. A preliminary
interpretation of 671 questionnaires reveals a quite well accepted course and a
positive view of the teachers. However, a lack of clinical relevance and
teaching competence is critizised most often. Feed-back from the questionnaires
lead to improvements in areas of relative strength but did not result in an
improvement of overall teaching competence.
