Based on the key result of ongoing international Higher Education
research, stating that learning ought to take centre stage in teaching,
and on the change in perspectives from teaching to learning that
lies behind it, this article presents the results of web-based research.
The article shows to what extent and in what way a learning-oriented
paradigm leads to the implementation of new teaching and learning
concepts across study courses or even entire universities (provided
that this was published on the respective websites). Insights into
issues like concepts of learning, their initiation and implementation,
related learning targets and the evaluation of previous experience
are described and viewed in the context of the ongoing discussion
of higher education objectives.
