Summary
As a central theme this article picks out different aspects of internationalisation at the institutional level of universities, influenced by different driving forces. The internal communication about the new challenges of internationalisation is of central importance as well as structuring internationalisation as a management task. Concentration on points of emphasis, development of strategies and new forms of governance are also important topics for the endeavours of the governmental higher education policy.
