The Seven Funktional Units of Swallowing: A Helpful Approach to the Analyses of Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies
Summary
Audiovisual media are superior to print media for demonstration of complex functional processes. However, at most universities audiovisual media are not commonly used in training programs. The reason for the widespread reluctance to use audiovisual media is the scarce experience of many lecturers with these teachig tools. This paper presents the authors experience with audiovisual media and thereby explains in a step by step fashion, how audiovisual devices can be designed. Following are 5 consecutive steps to a successful presentation: 1. Defenition of the target group. 2. Analysis of the topic and the contents. 3. Analysis of the material. 4. Composition of a script. 5. Production.
