The Law, the Difference of Gender and the Faculty of Law at the University of Vienna
Summary
Research in the field of law and its implications on the role of woman in society, and, more generally, on gender at the faculty of law has been persued for only a little more than two years. In the context of trying to institutionalize women’s studies in jurisprudence, thoughts have been made to establish an own "Wahlfach" in order to integrate the pertinent classes in the plan of legal studies. This is one of the aims of the "Women’s Studies Group Juridicum", which was founded in autumn 1994.
