Summary
In 1985 in Norway a Feminist University was established after a long process of planning. The universitiy which is directed by women concentrates on what determines the life of women, seen from a feminist perspective. Political and ecological problems are taken into special consideration. The article also tells about the genesis and the alternative organizational structures of this great venture.
