From an autonomous women´s movement perspective the author critically views the potential as well as limitations of feminist agency within universities as institutions - from the early "cultural shocks" of pioneers of Women´s Studies to the tendencies of normalization and conventionalization within today´s Women´s Studies and Gender Studies.
