How New will our New Universities be? - Effects and Chances of the UOG93
Summary
After the passing of the Universitätsorganisationsgesetz/UOG93 (law of university organization) we now have ti scrutinize its actual effects within the academic realm. While the convergence of executive power into a few key positions is a clearly discernible sign of enhanced hierarchization, it is essential to also investigate the less visible implications of this new law. Where are the trouble spots especially for women at universities? What about those scopes that have yet remained undefined, but which could actually help to make this law approvable for the academic staff?
