Subject Oriented Didactics: A Reason for Rejoice - Or Not?
Summary
The reason for this paper is - on the one
hand - that there has been nearly a stagnation
in the development of subject
oriented didactics in spite of its andeniable
importance for teacher training
and - on the other hand - a big chance
for an upturn, given by the new law of
university studies in Austria (UniStG
1997). Various concepts of the organisa-tion
of subject oriented didactics are
discribed and discussed. Finally the author
recommends - as the very task of
didactics - to support the rise of teacher's
professional knowledge by the
transformation of different structures
of knowledge in an integrated structure.
