Academic Tasks and Magics - The History of a Misunderstanding
Summary
The methodology of modern Sciences and Arts is based on the idea of an
analysable world. This means a self-limitation to analysis and the authority of
experts. Expertship dominates academic thinking: strong in analysis and critics,
weak in moulding social environment. Originally that was different: In the first
half-time of occidental university, academics were valued as reflective and
formative crack-force of their social environment. A short view on the history
of ideas illuminates the loss-process of the early academic main-tasks during
the last fivehundred years.
