Summary
On an international level, the majority of currently available medical data concern men. Even in the medical faculties of Austria, very few subjects incorporate women's perspectives, although more than half of the population and medical graduates as well as a substantial number of faculty members are women. The Women's Medical Forum is a scientific platform; the purpose of its activities is to remove the gender barrier in the fields of medical research and teaching in Austria.
