Problem-based Learning: Theory, Practice and Research
Distance Learning, PBL and Dynamic Knowledge Networks
Summary
Although several courses are now delivered on the Internet they still lack of theoretical grounds which take into account an explicit theory of learning and teaching. Problem Based Learning seems to be a suitable candidate for experimenting a interactive distance learning model. The present paper describes an attempt to formulate a model for distance and collaborative learning based upon system thinking Problem Based Learning and Dynamic Knowledge Networks an interactive multimedia generalization of cognitive maps. An application to medicine and nursing is carried out.
