Summary
This article is presenting an account of the development of the study centres of UNED (Spain) and is describing its institutional fixation, its relationship with headquarters, its financing, its activities in the field of teaching and the position of the tutors. The support of the study centres is ensured by private and official organisations which are joined together in the Study Centre Trust. Furthermore the support centres from abroad and the importance of EuroStudyCentres for UNED are being emphasized and the three study centres nominated for EuroStudyCentres are being presented.
