A Discussion about Science
Summary
In our discussion about science conversation is of special importance. A guided group discussion that will be documented in the following shall illustrate the method. It is especially the biographical approach that is of interest for our collective work. This is the reason why we asked Gert Dressel, who is devoted to the scientific research based on life-history, to guide our collective reflections of several years. We talked about our expectations of science, the demands and wishes that we had when we started the seminar. We also dealt with the question of the kind of understanding of science and society we had won and in how far the seminar had changed our everyday professional lives, our identities and attitudes towards science.
